Bryan Suter, the founder of Nurse at Call, was involved in the recruiting industry for more than thirty years. From 1972 until 1985, he was involved as a recruiter in a company that specialised in tradespeople within the automotive trade as well as recruiting for other industries such as engineers. The recruitment company sourced hundreds of candidates from New Zealand. In 2001, Bryan Suter founded Nurse at Call with a vision of placing highly qualified nursing and midwifery professionals in Australian outback and rural hospitals. Bryan noticed the health care recruiting process for rural and remote hospitals was in need of immediate attention. Vacancies were going unnoticed, whilst the demand for qualified nurses was growing daily.
Around this time, Ben now took over from his father as company director to relieve some of the work load. Bryan continued to work with his son by his side until his final weeks in 2012. Ben, with the shared vision of this father, continues to run the company with an elite team of dedicated professionals at his side. Over the course of the past decade, Nurse at Call’s growth has continued exponentially with such achievements as acquiring corporate membership with RCSA & ANRA, obtaining preferred supplier status with Queensland Health, New South Wales Health and Indian Ocean Health Service as well the company’s policies and processes being quality assured to ISO 9001:2015 standard. All of which has helped cement our place in the industry as one of Australia’s top nursing agencies.
